Youth Approved Award - Silver Level

The Youth Approved Awards encourage and celebrate youth involvement at all levels of Scouting in Scotland. We all know how important youth involvement is to ensure that our youth members are getting the very best experiences from Scouting. The Youth Approved Award has been designed to support members at all levels to create meaningful youth involvement to Scouts in Scotland.

The Award helps us benchmark our achievements, identifying areas for improvement and celebrate the great work we are doing. The Award is assessed by young people and has four different levels: Foundation, Bronze, Silver and Gold. Launched in late 2017, Methlick Scout Group and associated Explorer Unit was the first Group to get every section to Foundation status in Gordon District. In November 2018 all sections and the Group have worked hard and achieved the Bronze award. During lockdown of 2020 we managed to be only the second Group in Scotland to gain the Silver Award, and are immensely proud of our achievements. B R A V O !! That shows the efforts of all our young people and adult leadership team have gone to achieve this. We are now currently all working towards the Gold award. Watch this space for updates . . . . .!!

We also have a Facebook page where you will also find news and pictures from the Group and Explorer Unit. If you have a Facebook account click on the logo below to find us, and “Like”.
