How to Contact 1st Methlick Scout Group

What is a Beaver?

Beaver Scouts belong to the first and youngest Section in the Scout Family and are young people usually aged between six and eight years old.
Beaver Scouts enjoy making friends, playing games, going on visits and helping others. They meet once a week in what is called a Beaver Colony

What do Beaver Scouts wear?

Beaver Scouts have a uniform which consists of a Turquoise Sweatshirt with activity trousers. Beaver Scouts also wear a Group scarf

What do Beaver Scouts do?

Beavers Scouts have an exciting, varied and interesting programme. In enjoying
themselves they are also learning about the world around them and also some practical skills at the same time. Some will work towards their Chief Scout's Bronze Award.  Beavers move on to Cubs or "swim up" when they are eight years old.

Want to become a Beaver Scout?

You need to be at least six years old to become a Beaver Scout and at times the Colony may be full so you may have to go on a waiting list. Check this out well before your sixth birthday and have your name put on the list; get Mum or Dad to contact the leaders at: beavers@methlickscouts.org.uk
